Trusting God
Trusting God
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6.) In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
The phrase trust means to believe that The Lord can and will do what should be done. Lean does not mean to put one's whole weight on but to rely on Him. We cannot predict the outcome of situations, this is why we must trust in the Lord wholeheartedly, knowing that God will withhold no good thing from us and He will always do what is best for us. That is the Father's love for us.
God has given us many promises throughout His word. He promises to lead, guide, direct, comfort, provide, protect... along with so many others. We know that God will always give us His best because He is a good Father. He does not desire for us to lack anything. If you find yourself in the midst of a storm or lacking direction, seek the Lord through prayer and His Word. As you begin to pray and read the Word, God will begin to speak directly to you.
The scripture states to trust in God, not man, yourself, or anything. Today I challenge you to set your heart on God, to get to know Him. Trust comes with a relationship. We cannot trust anyone we do not know. It is God's desire to get to know you and be in a relationship with you. Place your trust in Him and live the abundant life He has for you!
