Can you Stand to be Blessed?
Can you stand to be Blessed?
Psalms 1:1-2
1.) Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2.) But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law, he meditates day and night.
Oftentimes societies definition of blessed is measured by the size of their bank account, their house, or their job title. It’s measured by the standards of this world and what they have obtained.
The true meaning of the word blessed is “happy” or “inward joy is theirs”. This is obtained by a God-centered life. We must take our eyes off of the things obtainable in this world and shift our focus on an obedient life to Christ. We must spend time in His word to obtain wisdom and knowledge.
God has given us a blueprint for our lives that assures us happiness and inward joy. He has given us everything we need pertaining to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3)
We must be careful not to receive advice or counsel from those outside of righteousness and obedience to God. This can remove you off of the path of blessings and lead you down a path of unrighteousness.
To be blessed is to be inside the will of God, to live a life of obedience. Having your life in alignment with His word. Following the principles that He has given us to live by reading, studying, and meditating on His word. This is your blessed place. This is where the blessings of God will flow in your life and you will find happiness and inward joy.
My question to you today is “Can you stand to be blessed?”
