Focus

“Focus”

Philippians 3:14-15 “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (15) Let us, therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

To be focused on your calling is critical because many distractions will come to detour you from purpose. Here Apostle Paul, says “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling” he’s “pressing” because there is always something that is going to come to try to disrupt your focus. The Word of God says that many are the afflictions of the righteous, that tells us that we may face storms or have times of difficulties, but we must remain faithful to our calling despite. We must stay focused on the work that God has called us to do. In Luke 10: 41-42, Jesus tells Martha you are worried and troubled about many things. (42) But one thing is needed...that one thing is God and being focused on what He has called you to do. We can be so consumed with doing what we think we should do that we miss what God wants. In leadership, it must always be about the people and never about us. Whatever we are going through, we must never let the people see it. We must trust God to care for us and keep our hearts and minds focused on Him and His desired results. For we know, we have an adversary that walks to and fro seeking whom he may devour. The adversary works in many ways to distract us and make us unproductive, ineffective, and stagnant. So we must always guard watch and be attentive to the devices of the enemy. Remain steadfast in prayer, understanding the times and the seasons. We must remain focused on what God is doing and keeping up with His momentum. God is continually moving, so we want to make sure we are moving with Him, not ahead of Him. We must not get ahead of God and His timing. Always receive your instructions from God, or else you may cause chaos and disorder in your ministry if you are outside of His will. Set goals focusing on one thing at a time. Once you have mastered one thing, move forward to the next. Remember, everything must be done with a spirit of excellence, with decency, and in order. For this to happen, we must be diligent in seeking God for His will, obedient and focused.

Love you all and Kingdom Blessings!
