Encouragement in Times of Trouble-Pastor’s Tip
“Encouragement In Times of Trouble” Job 1:21-22
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. (v.22) Through all this, Job did not sin, nor did he blame God.
The Book of Job depicts an upright man who experienced pain and suffering through testing, yet remained faithful unto God.
There will be times in our lives when we will experience times of trouble and distress. Things don’t always go as planned; mishaps and misfortune may occur, but, through it all, we must remain steadfast, trusting, and relying on God. During these times, we must begin to seek God for His strength and His will for our lives and ministries.
God is all-wise and all-powerful. His will is perfect, although He doesn’t always act in ways that we understand. God knows the purpose behind times of trouble. It is our job to not give up on God but to remain focused. Notice Job said, “Blessed be the name of the Lord,” we are to bless the Lord at all times. His praise should continually be in our mouths. (Psalms 34:1). (This refers to in season and out of season).
The joy of the Lord is our strength, alongside the companionship of the Holy Spirit, who is our comforter and encourager, and who enables us to endure times of testing.
Job remained focused, obedient, and never gave up on God. He never placed his hope in people, nor did he become the situation. When Job reached a point of despair, God spoke to him, showing him His great power and wisdom.
If any of you are going through a time of difficulty, I encourage you to begin to seek God’s face, obtain a posture of worship, and press forward in God. Trust God that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Maintain a positive attitude, remain joyful and focused, understanding that the difficulty you may be experiencing can lead you to re-discover God and develop a more intimate relationship with Him.
Love you all and Kingdom Blessings!
